Ann's doctor dubbed her a "poster child for regular mammograms and early detection" and today she is cancer free. During that time of fear, reflection, prayer, anxiety, then joy, relief and gratitude, the Angel Annie's Dessert idea was born.

"Why not raise funds and awareness for women's cancer research, education, and treatment, while enjoying delicious desserts?" Our intention is to form Angel Annie's as a not-for-profit corporation and to donate all proceeds to fighting women's cancers.

We plan on raising funds, through the sale of frozen Angel Annie's desserts. Angel Annie's will be available first through hospital and research facilities' cafeterias, then restaurants, coffee shops, cafés and other locations. In addition Angel Annie's desserts will be sold by non-profit groups of all sizes through fundraisers which will both benefit the organizations and ultimately the cause. Finally, we intend to make our products available for home delivery through an online store. Soon, by enjoying these delicious desserts, you can help the cause.

We are in the early stages of our development, but have made some great strides. We are very close to securing a private label manufacturing agreement with a woman-owned commercial bakery and are in discussions with one of the largest hospital groups in our home state of Indiana about joint marketing. We also intend to link to other sites that support the cause as well as to a number of resource sites to provide cancer education to those diagnosed.

With the help of other like-minded organizations, we hope to make this a valuable website of women's cancer resources, because knowledge can be very empowering for someone touched by cancer.
